Emmanuel Center gets kids off the street and into school. We do this through outreach activities including drug rehabilitation and counselling, and through education - by placing children in schools or vocational training programs. For some street children this means reconnecting them with relatives and providing family counselling, as well as paying school fees and medical expenses for the children. For others, it means placing them in boarding schools or vocational training institutes.
The goal is to find what works for each child, and do our best to make sure it happens. Each year Emmanuel Center directly supports up to 40 children, and provides ongoing support and outreach services to over 100 more. Over the past 10 years of operations we have helped over 400 former street children get off the streets and develop into self-sufficient individuals.
